The Manager, Client Strategy is responsible for leading strategic direction across client engagements while ensuring that strategy translates into high-quality execution and measurable business outcomes.


This role sits at the intersection of client leadership, strategic thinking, and cross-functional collaboration, serving as both a trusted advisor to clients and a strategic partner to internal teams.


Success in this role means clients see Creo not just as an agency, but as an extension of their marketing (and leadership) team.


You'll report to the SVP of Client Services and Strategy and collaborate closely with designers, writers, and marketing operations pros to deliver work that actually drives measurable business impact.


What You’ll Be Doing


  • Own the strategic direction for client accounts and client outcomes.

What this means: You’re accountable for the clarity, quality, and effectiveness of the strategy across your accounts.

  • Lead client relationships and build trust

What this means: You are the strategic face of Creo. You build relationships with clients that position us as indispensable partners.

  • Translate strategy into high-quality execution.

What this means: You ensure strategy is clearly translated and executed to meet client needs and Creo standards.

  • Drive cross-functional alignment.

What this means: You ensure the Creo team (strategy, creative, content, and operations) work together seamlessly to develop and execute effective integrated marketing strategies that align with client goals and drive measurable outcomes.

  • Identify growth opportunities and elevate accounts

What this means: You actively look for ways to expand impact and deepen client engagement.

  • Mentor and elevate team performance

What this means: You help raise the level of strategic thinking across the team, further helping solidify Creo as an indispensable partner.

Qualifications


  • 6–8+ years of experience in marketing strategy, digital marketing, or content strategy, preferably within a B2B agency or tech-focused environment.

  • Proven ability to lead client relationships and deliver smart, results-driven marketing strategies.

  • Strong writing and storytelling skills, with a knack for turning complex ideas into clear messages.

  • Strong editing and quality assurance skills, able to identify and address issues before they reach a client.

  • A proactive mindset and a flexible approach; you’re comfortable navigating ambiguity and finding your own way forward.

  • Experience working closely with cross-functional teams, including creative, content, marketing ops, and leadership.

  • A love of learning and a desire to continuously improve how we work and how we serve our clients.


Performance Expectations


Though a contract position, to succeed in this role, we expect:

  • Availability during working hours (9 a.m.-5 p.m. ET).

    • Note: We can be flexible on working hours pending your geographical location, as long as client and team coverage is maintained.

  • Must maintain consistent visibility and responsiveness across email, internal communication tools (i.e. GChat), and client channels.

  • Transparent and honest communication with your entire Creo team regarding availability and accessibility.
